Considering the copyright risk and the lack of self-confidence in my ability, I decided not to share the longer movies that I created. So two times now I have tried uploading my videos from iMovie to Youtube, the progression circle in the top right goes half way then i get a pop up saying it failed. Hey guys, couldnt find any youtube video to help me with my problem.
Imovie 10.1.2 uploading to youtube pro#
I want to use the iSight camera to record the video, but have the advantage of superior sound using Apogee/Garageband while doing it and not the internal Macbook Pro mic. The trailer is created in less than five minutes (plus few more minutes to upload it to YouTube), using the basic iMovie’s trailer feature with a bit editing here and there. Publishing from iMovie to YouTube failed. My problem is that I do not know how OR if both audio & video can be used together this way while recording an event at the same time. It said exporting videos longer than 15 minutes requires a verified Youtube account. Today, after editing my most recent video, I noticed a strange warning come up when I went to export.

For the video portion, I also learned i can maybe upgrade its quality by using the iSight camera through iMovie instead of the camcorder. I have a MacBook Pro and am running iMovie 10.1.2, which I use to edit my vlog videos to then post on Youtube. My second idea would be to mic my guitar using an Apogee Duet ( not purchased yet ) and use GarageBand for the audio. iMovie is a good option for many people to edit videos. Thus a professional third-party video editor is a must-have for more complicated editing tasks. Then put all of this to iMovie, edit and upload it to YT. After you upload a video to YouTube, you may want to re-edit it yet the built-in YouTube video editor only offers the basic video editing features like trimming. I have iMovie 10.0.8 and have been trying to upload short movies (1.2GB) to YouTube. My first idea was to use my dv camcorder and plug my guitar into a mixer, have it go back to the camcorder mic input so as not to use the camera’s lousy internal mic. I want to get the best sounding audio from my acoustic guitar onto Youtube along with decent looking video. Help! Maybe I am making this more difficult than it should be.
